绵阳师范学院是四川省属全日制普通本科院校。学校坐落在被誉为“蜀道明珠”的中国科技城、李白出生地——全国文明城市绵阳。
MTC is a provincial 4-year full-time college located in Mianyang, the pearl along the ancient Shu Road, China’s only Sci-tech City and hometown of the famous Chinese romantic poet Li Bai.
2002年经国家教育部批准，绵阳师范学院由原绵阳师范高等专科学校和绵阳教育学院合并组建成立。
The college was merged from the former Mianyang Higher Teachers College and the former Mianyang Education College under the supervision of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and was approved by the State Education Ministry in 2002.
2006年成为学士学位授予权单位，
MTC obtained the right to confer bachelor’s degrees in 2006,
2007年以良好成绩通过国家教育部本科教学工作水平评估，2011年获准成为“服务国家特殊需求项目”试点单位，开始招收环境工程专业学位硕士研究生。
In 2007,the college passed the Ministry of Education’s Undergraduate Education Operation Standard Assessment with flying colors and was allowed to grant the Professional Master’s Degree of Environmental Engineering in 2011, which is an experimental program for the special needs of the country.

The college has 3 campuses located in High-tech , Youxian and Fenggu districts respectively,which together comprise an area of nearly 330 acres.
现有16个二级学院，52个全日制本科专业，覆盖文学、教育学、理学、管理学、工学等9大学科门类。
The college has 16 educational departments and 52 undergraduate programs within 9 discipline categories such as Literature,Education,Natural Science,Management Science,Engineering and so on.

The college has 529 professors and associate professors, 249 teachers with PHD degree. In addition, the college has 81 master’s and doctoral supervisors.
近三年学校承担国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金和省部级科研课题58项；教育部产学研合作项目近40项，开展校地合作与服务等项目180余项。
Over the past 3 years, teachers have undertaken 58 programs of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, and the provincial key scientific researches, about 40 Education Ministry ’s projects on the Integration of Industry, Education and Research, 180 cooperation projects with local government and enterprises.
